House with Two Pillars
Akio Takatsuka / Aaat
- Outline
- Slabs are placed at various heights around the two pillars that run through the upper and lower floors. the clear division of the space by steps and the ambiguous boundaries created by the pillars create a gentle domain within the one-room space. the 10cm depth of each wall and ceiling extends the space, and at the same time, can be used as storage space by passing boards over the intervening columns.
