POP-UP ORIGAMI ROOF

- A plan for a movable roof that combines the behavior of origami and the properties of tensegrity to raise a solid from a plane. It stands on top of the ring to shelter it from the sun and wind. From the center point of a square tent sheet, single pipes are placed diagonally (valley fold) and carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) pipes are placed crosswise (mountain fold), and a winch is used to raise and fold the single pipes. The total weight is approximately 160 kg.
