The Gathering House

Outline: The house is located between a residential area and rice paddies. In order to avoid the eyesight from the front road on the south side and the owner's parents' house across the street, while not blocking the light and wind to the neighbors' houses on the north and east sides, a pilotis which also serves as a parking lot was built on the southeast side of the site, and the northeast side was opened up as a garden. A large opening with a sweeping window greets visitors as they pass through the pilotis.
