Outline: This laboratory is located in an area with heavy snowfall. The cold heat from the snow is collected and stored in underground thermal storage tanks and used as energy during the summer and mid-summer. A lotus leaf-shaped roof "harvest leaf" was installed as a system to recover the cold heat. Exhaust heat from a factory in a separate building is drawn into the main building as hot water and used as energy.
