- Renovation of the area of the engineering buildings on Chiba University's Nishi-Chiba Campus, which are arranged in parallel on the south side with an external corridor running through the center of the building. Facing the Academic Mall (Yayoi Street) on the west side, the campus common, which is mainly for student activities such as lecture rooms and studios, is concentrated, while research activities and laboratory spaces are located on the east side. The newly constructed Engineering and Informatics Lecture Building draws the flow of students into a portico-like semi-exterior space.
