- Extension and remodeling of the meeting hall of Kakko-yama, one of the floats that parade in the Gion Festival. In order to preserve the original Kakko-yama meeting house architecture, the addition was designated as a preserved building and exempted from the Building Standard Law, and was built to be as safe as possible against earthquakes and fire. The extension, which straddles the space between the existing kaisho house and the storehouse, follows the plan of the machiya and creates a space that traverses the old and the new.
