- A plan to transform the site of a demolished theater into a town square. A pedestrian bridge over the river that runs along the city walls and a louvered frame not only create a covered plaza, but also cut a view of the old town on one side and a view of the new town over the river on the other side. The louvers are made of steel, symbolizing the industries that flourished in the city. The gaps allow light, air, and plants to enter the plaza and the ventilated patios of the terrace houses. The plaza becomes a new stage open to the public, reviving the spirit of the theater.
