- Located on the grounds of the Tokyo National Museum, this is an exhibition facility for the treasures donated by Horyuji Temple. The public spaces are made of solid steel structure and extruded aluminum sash and glass, while the exhibition and storage spaces are made of limestone (Juraiyellow). The building attempts to create a Japanese-style space without directly using Japanese elements, such as the flow lines that give visual variation, the brightly lit entrance hall with its gate opening toward the water table, and the details composed of lines.
