Maison à Bordeaux
OMA
- Outline
- A house for a client who uses a wheelchair, a block of concrete forcefully suspended by H-beams, an elevator that moves with the floor, a door that looks like a bus entrance, a round window that opens and closes with uncut glass. The architecture, deconstructed down to its component parts, loses its architectural character and becomes a single device. The structural design is by Cecile Balmond.
