Vanna Venturi House
Robert Venturi
- Outline
- The house is a precursor of the postmodern style. The symmetry of the facade is intentionally broken by the off-center chimney and windows of different sizes. In his book "Diversity and Conflict in Architecture" (1966), he explains that this is due to his consideration of the diversity and conflict of the elements that make up the house.
