Outline: A part of the second floor of an existing lightweight steel-framed Hebel house (D series, completed in 1978), located in a residential complex developed in the 1980s, was converted into a studio accessible from a newly built external staircase. The living infrastructure, including separate meters for electricity and gas, is separated from the main building and can be rented out. The external staircase is supported by a concrete block on the ground level due to an existing buried pipe.
