Outline: The McClay Memorial Library commemorates the 150th anniversary of the founding of Aoyama Gakuin. The center of the building is an open central reading space with a atrium and other spatial features that bring about changes in the space, while the perimeter of the building is a small "isle" (side aisle of a church) that can accommodate more activities, allowing a variety of places for visitors to choose.
