A 30-year-old office building of a building materials wholesaler was renovated into a community salon through books. Part of the existing exterior wall was removed to create an interior space that is penetrated by the exterior. The same operation was carried out on both the north and south sides of the building to create a connection between the commercial area along the main street and the approach to the shrine in the residential area.
