HAMACHO FUTURE LAB

Outline
This project involved the rehabilitation of two buildings, a 59-year-old two-story wooden structure and a 44-year-old six-story reinforced concrete structure. The wooden structure, which was built larger than the new site area, was reduced in size, the site boundary was newly defined, and the flow line of the steel structure was extended to the reinforced concrete structure to connect the two buildings. The reinforced concrete structure now allows for evacuation in two directions. Currently, the wooden structure houses offices and the reinforced concrete structure houses a running station/sauna.
