Outline: The project began with the opening of the college of sustainability and tourism at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University. The project was to create a three-faculty structure, including the existing college of asia pacific studies and college of international management, and to position the Green Commons (new teaching building) for use by all undergraduate students and AP HOUSE 5 (international education student dormitory) as the "second opening of the university" to accommodate the increased number of students.
