- The new government building was constructed on the site of the former nagasaki city hall (designed by Motoo Take, SHINKENCHIKU August, 1962), which was a symbol of postwar reconstruction. the structure consists of a reinforced concrete lattice frame and an outer shell of clt earthquake-resistant panels, which are arranged according to the stress load, with the density of the clt panels decreasing as one moves to the upper floors.
