- The new main building inherits elements of the former kanagawa prefectural library (now the maekawa kunio-kan, 5303 in this issue) and the kanagawa prefectural music hall (designed by maekawa kunio, 5303 in this issue), both of which were completed in 1954 and designed by maekawa kunio.
