- This project was planned in the wake of the 2011 great east japan earthquake and the abukuma river flooding caused by typhoons in 2019. a steel-frame workshop and an adjacent stone warehouse were renovated as a base for collecting, processing, and selling old lumber from houses to be demolished as part of a flood control project.
