Part of the renovation project of the tsukuba center building (8311 in this issue), which tsukuba city is undertaking in cooperation with the private sector. the portion facing the east side of the plaza that had been used for stores was converted into rental offices, co-working space, event space, and restaurants. the signboard in the plaza was removed to make the building look more like it did when it was completed.
