- Renovation and expansion of the kannon hall, where a standing image of the eleven-faced kannon, a national treasure, is enshrined. the ceiling of the repository is hemispherical, and indirect lighting is installed at the edge of the canopy to spread diffused light evenly throughout the building. the hemispherical ceiling is tilted at a 15-degree angle to allow light to shine from behind the statue of the goddess of mercy.
