THE HANNO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY

Outline
It was adopted as a CLT building demonstration support project as an advanced structural plan that combines new and old wood structure technologies. The Chamber of Commerce consists of a 10-meter span of CLT parallel-string trusses. The upper and lower chords of the trusses are made of 120 mm square cypress, and the 36 mm thick cedar J-panels, which are the diagonal members of the trusses, are made of Nishikawa wood, a local material. The openings are lattice bearing walls made of Nishikawa wood. Other wood-frame proposals include a CLT folded-slab structure using Nishikawa wood and a reciprocal structure.
