Outline: The stadium, built in 1979, is located in Yokohama Park. The stadium was expanded to accommodate 6,000 more seats due to the relaxation of the building coverage ratio in the park under the Yokohama City Ordinance. The stadium has a circulation deck that allows people to come and go as they please, creating a lively atmosphere that is integrated with the park. In the future, a pedestrian deck will be constructed to connect the current City Hall district (scheduled to be relocated in June 2020) and Yokohama Stadium, and will be connected to the circulation deck.
