KAZUYO SEJIMA＋RYUE NISHIZAWA／SANAA

Outline: This is a public housing complex consisting of four buildings with a total of 100 units located in the 16th arrondissement on the western edge of Paris, near the Boulogne Forest and the Paris ring road. The ground floor is all pilotis, and the second to fourth floors are residential units, creating continuity with the surrounding environment including the forest. A series of curving volumes with slatted doors, as seen in the streets of Paris, are built.
