TOYOSU MARKET (TOKYO CENTRAL WHOLESALE MARKET)

Outline
It was built on a site 2.3 km south of Tsukiji Market as a new market for fisheries and fruit and vegetables to replace Tsukiji Market due to its aging. The market is closed to ensure thorough hygiene control of food products, and a cold chain has been established to ensure efficient flow of goods in a three-dimensional environment. In addition, it was planned to function as a hub market in the Tokyo metropolitan area, with a transfer distribution center that handles transfer distribution from surrounding markets and processing package facilities that meet customer needs.
