TOMIOKA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY
TAKAHARU TEZUKA+YUI TEZUKA+KEIJI YABE / TEZUKA ARCHITECTS HIROFUMI OHNO / OHNO JAPAN
- Outline
- This is a project to construct a new chamber of commerce and industry on the site of the Yoshino Drapery Store, located between the Tomioka Silk Mill and the Tomioka City Hall (1807), following the demolition of the former chamber of commerce and industry due to road expansion. A sawtooth roof is formed by a diagonal lattice outer frame with a span of 1.8 x 1.8 m, which recalls the volume of the former kimono shop.
