- The project is part of the Terminal Park development project being promoted by Yamaguchi City in the vicinity of Shin-Yamaguchi Station, and was designed by Plants Associates, following the completion of the Shin-Yamaguchi Station North-South Free Passage in 2015 (Journal 1512). Instead of constructing a station building, the bridge-like architecture is used to create a plaza, cafes, a tourist information center, and a roundabout, in an attempt to generate a flow of people from the station to the city.
