SUMIDAMIDORI NURSERY SCHOOL
KENYA ISHIHARA+DENEFES
- Outline
- This project is for a branch of a nursery school that has been in operation for 64 years along an elevated railway line in Sumida-ku, Tokyo. It was intended to function as a buffer zone between the outside and the inside of the school. The steel beams and the eaves of the deck slab are exposed to give the building an appearance that matches the surrounding environment, which has many factory buildings.
