- Located in the southwestern part of Osaka Castle, it is a center for cancer treatment that integrates three functions: a hospital, a research institute, and a cancer control center. The Osaka Medical Center for Adult Diseases, which had been located on the east side of Osaka Castle Park, has become old, narrow and earthquake-resistant, so it is planned to relocate to Otemae, where administrative functions are concentrated and a heavy particle cancer treatment facility is being constructed on the adjacent land.
