KONOMI NURSERY

Outline
This is the fourth renovation of the nursery school, which has been extended for about 45 years. The building was constructed on a long and narrow site, and it was difficult to secure a garden, so a large hall was built in the center of the building where children can run around freely and parents can interact with their children. A single wall is scaled to resemble a two-story house, and the facade is designed to look like a continuous streetscape from the group of houses on the front road. The town area, the rural landscape, and the existing buildings create the appearance of a village.
