Outline: This is a landscape development project underway in Matsunoyama Onsen, one of the heaviest snowfall areas in Japan. The project was triggered by a project by the Ministry of the Environment to lay snow pipes on the road in conjunction with a demonstration experiment of binary power generation using hot springs. The project included the construction of a snow removal facility, a community center, a visitor center, and street lights.
