Miyanomori Elementary School was built in Higashimatsushima City, Miyagi Prefecture, on a site that was moved to higher ground for reconstruction. Self-reconstructed houses and public disaster housing are being built in the area. About 150 elementary school students (maximum capacity: about 300) attend the school.
