YONEZAWA CITY LIBRARY & YONEZAWA CITY ART GALLERY

Outline
This is a facility planned for the revitalization of the city center of Yonezawa City. Because the city is located in a region with deep snowfall, the perimeter of the first floor has a veranda space that resembles a roadside passage under the eaves called a komaya in this region. The exterior walls, except for the komaya, are made of cedar from Yonezawa. A prestressed wall structure is adopted.
