NEPAL SELF-BUILD HOUSE IN KATHMANDU AND CHARIKOT

Outline
The earthquakes that struck Nepal in April and May 2015 killed more than 9,000 people and destroyed about 500,000 buildings in Nepal. In the Keio University SFC "Urban Rural Redesign" project, the Shigeru Ban team constructed two types of housing models in Kathmandu, one using reused collapsed bricks, and the other using locally produced plywood in Chalikot, Dolakha, by the Hiroto Kobayashi team.
