SHICHIGAHAMA SHOBUTAHAMA PUBLIC HOUSING

Outline
Five three-story buildings (100 units in total) were constructed as public housing for disaster victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake. Each unit is surrounded by a courtyard, and all units have their entrances and living rooms facing the courtyard, regardless of their orientation. The upper floors of the buildings are set back to allow for daylight, ventilation, and line of sight.
