HAGISO: Renovation of a 60-year-old wooden apartment building in a dense wooden neighborhood in Yanaka, Taito-ku, Tokyo. hanare (Marukoshi-so): An old wooden apartment building located a short distance from HAGISO was renovated and turned into a lodging facility based on the concept of "making the whole town look like a big hotel. The hotel is located on the second floor of HAGISO. Guests check in at the reception on the second floor of HAGISO, and then go to hanare. The contents in the town (public baths, practice classes, etc.) are effectively utilized.
