UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST IN JAPAN, IKUTA CHURCH

Outline
Reconstruction of a church on a site surrounded by residential areas. The church is a steel-frame structure with a meeting room on the first floor and a chapel on the second floor. The roof covering the chapel and the three divided volumes overlap. Light pours in between the gabled roofs, which are displaced.
