SHINSHO-JI TEMPLE SHO-DO

Outline
This temple office was newly constructed on the premises of Jinshoji Temple, a Zen temple of the Kentoji School in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture. The building is a one-story structure with a loft, consisting of a low volume for a conference room and a volume with a 9550 mm high pitched roof for the temple office and exhibition space. The roof is made of hand-bent copper sheets, and the red pine trees planted on the colonnades of the corridor and the top of the roof are cut from the nearby mountains.
