OKINAWA INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY GRADUATE UNIVERSITY

Outline
On a 230-hectare site, research buildings, lecture halls, residences, childcare facilities, and other facilities that support researchers in various aspects are built as if they were a single town. Because the site is rich in nature, there are places where buildings cannot be constructed because they hold important ecosystems, but the buildings were designed to blend in with the natural environment by being as low-rise and divided as possible.
