NISSIN FOODS GROUP THE WAVE

Outline
The research and development functions of the Nissin Foods Group, which are dispersed throughout Japan, were integrated into a new research center in Hachioji, Tokyo. The building has a curved exterior based on a rouleau triangle and an exterior with large mirrored horizontal louvers that reflect the surrounding nature. Inside, there are two types of spaces: the core area, where a certain environment is secured, and the interface area, which is created between the core area and the interface area by locating the core area away from the exterior walls. These spaces promote the conversion of modes between concentration and openness, and provide architecture that stimulates the senses of researchers.
