HOME-FOR-ALL IN IWANUMA
TOYO ITO & ASSOCIATES, ARCHITECTS
- Outline
- The Bahrain Pavilion, which was exhibited at the Venice Biennale in 2010, was relocated to the temporary fishermen's cooperative facility in Shinhama-cho, adjacent to the Kamaishi fish market, where fishermen and tourists can easily gather and serve as a base for the reconstruction of Kamaishi's fishing industry. Many people, including local residents and volunteers, participated in the construction. On the right is a Bahraini fisherman's hut, and on the left is the newly constructed main building.
