NIFCO TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT CENTER

Outline
This is the research and development base of Nifco, which develops and manufactures functional fixtures made of plastic parts used in automobiles and home appliances. The office space takes advantage of the different environments to the north and south, and reduces the environmental load. The south side of the building, which receives the strongest sunlight, is closed, and a heat-collecting wall draws in solar heat to reduce air-conditioning energy. The north side of the building, which faces a preserved green mountain, is an open curtain wall with low-e double-glazing.
