KOYASAN GUEST HOUSE
KENTARO TAKEGUCHI + ASAKO YAMAMOTO / ALPHAVILLE ARCHITECTS
- Outline
- A simple lodging facility built in Koyasan. In an area where there are many shukubo (monks' quarters), it was built as a place where tourists can easily gather and stay. Because the construction took place deep in the mountains, simple wooden frame units made of pre-fabricated 2×4 lumber were connected and configured on site.
