Outline
The seismic retrofit and extension of the Otaki Town Hall (Imai, 5907) was designed by Imai Kenji, and the designer was selected through a public proposal competition held in 2009 (Imai, 0906). The ceiling of the extension building is 7m high, with large and small beams on the diagonals of the square plan, and a high side light above.
