PUBLIC LAVATORY IN CHUO-KU
ISHIBASHI, TOKUGAWA & ASSOCIATES, ARCHITECTS
- Outline
- Of the 85 public toilets in Chuo City, four were reconstructed: one in Sukiyabashi Park, one in Hakozakigawa No.2 Park, one by Motoyatsukachi Bridge, and one by the central market. The walls of these toilets are not connected to the roofs, but are freestanding to provide natural lighting and ventilation. In addition, the plumbing pits serve as emergency sewage tanks so that they can be used in times of disaster.
