NOMIKAWA FLAT

Outline
The building is an apartment complex on a long north-south site in Tokyo, containing 15 rental units. In order to secure four-sided lighting and ventilation for each unit, the volume of each unit is segmented and displaced. The structure is a ramen-frame structure with earthquake-resistant walls, which allows a high degree of freedom in the size and position of openings, creating an open interior.
