- The Shinjuku Center Building, which was completed in 1979 with the aim of building for 100 years, was renovated in 2008. A total of 288 braces and displacement-dependent oil dampers were installed on 24 floors using the T-RESPO construction method to prevent long-period seismic motion. Large-scale renovations are planned to be carried out in approximately 30-year cycles.
