Outline: A three-story bookstore facing Old Yamate Street in Daikanyama, Tokyo. It sells books, music CDs, movie DVDs, and rental services. It also houses a library and lounge, a cafe, a travel counter, and a convenience store. Openings are provided at the corners of each building so that the interior and exterior spaces are continuous. The exterior walls are GRC panels formed into a T-shape. The selection of the designer was based on a nomination-based proposal process.
