HIROSHI SENJU MUSEUM KARUIZAWA
OFFICE OF RYUE NISHIZAWA
- Outline
- This museum houses and exhibits approximately 100 works created by artist Senju Hiroshi between 1978 and 2011. The museum was designed in response to Senju's request for a "bright and open museum that has never existed before," with natural light coming in from four courtyards. UV-cut glass is used, and a gently sloping floor connects the site, which has a height difference of about 3.5 meters.
