SAKANOICHI CITIZEN'S CENTER

Outline
A branch office of the Oita City Office with combined health and childcare support functions. Steel pillars covered with larch plywood are randomly arranged at the back of a gently curving glass curtain wall. The walls bend gently to accommodate the functions and required area of each location. The ceiling of the second-floor gallery, which extends parallel to the hall, rises as a penthouse, allowing the eye to pass from the first floor to the sky.
