This is a comprehensive museum of Buddhism established as part of the 370th anniversary project of Ryukoku University. Located across the street from Nishi Honganji Temple, the museum is restricted to a maximum height of 15 meters by the Kyoto City government's landscape policy, and the ceiling height of the first floor is limited to about 2.4 meters because the ceiling height of the exhibition rooms on the second and third floors is 3.5 to 4 meters. The first floor is a passageway that connects Horikawa-dori, where Nishi Honganji Temple is located, to Aburakoji-dori, where the Dendoin is located.
